The vacuum transport holder is a ready solution for protecting sensitive samples, whilst either transporting between sites, or for compact bench-top storage. Holders can be evacuated to rough vacuum via a small vent, and sealed using a fixing plug. The holder has outer dimensions of ~12x6cm (Height x diameter), and its aluminium construction keeps total weight to less than 500g, with 12 marked sample positions and a slot for SEM stubs.

The holder can be pumped by an external roughing pump. The system is O-ring sealed, and the in-built gauge shows the internal pressure state, allowing for direct confirmation of vacuum quality by the receiver. The system is sealed via a plug valve, and a barb is used to allow pump-down.

The transport holder will hold vacuum without re-pumping for up to 5 days without re-pumping. Ideal for use when sending samples between sites, or via air freight or hold baggage.
