The vacuum TEM holder is a portable vacuum storage unit for up to 20 TEM samples. With each slot individually labelled, samples are protected against dust, oxidation and stray fields. The integrated gauge permits one to check the vacuum level at a glance, and to confirm safe vacuum transport of samples to their destination. The transport holder will hold vacuum without re-pumping for up to 5 days without re-pumping. Ideal for use when sending samples between sites, or via air freight or hold baggage.

The holders can be evacuated to rough vacuum via a small barb vent, and sealed using a fixing plug. The holder has outer dimensions of ~12x6cm (Height x diameter), and its aluminium construction keeps total weight to less than 500g, with 20 marked sample positions and a locking ring to prevent movement of the securing rotor whilst in transit.
