
This system uses a rotating cylinder to store industry standard APT 'pucks', in a vacuum system to prevent contamination from atmospheric sources. The system is configured to allow for the transfer of samples into a rotating cylinder, which can store up to 16 APT 'pucks' within the chamber. With a suitable transfer system, samples can be introduced and removed from the vacuum chamber without exposure to atmosphere. A glass viewport permits the user to monitor the picking process, and to extract the desired samples.
The system uses a rotating spindle design that slides to align the specimen of choice to the picking zone, and then samples can be grabbed via a gate valve. Note that this product only includes the passive vacuum components required to house the samples, and does not include active pumping or measuring devices
